Of current importance26.03.2020 Conference organizers: Conference partners – members of the consortium of the Erasmus+ project Erasmus+ TEEDE:
There were more than 40 on-site participants from 20 Russian HEIs, AEER and University of Tampere (Finland). Due to the developing restrictions concerning COVID-19 epidemic the on-site participation had been limited, and conference organizers and participants had actively used various tools for distant communication. Among the online participants there were representatives of Russian, Indian, Spanish and Portuguese universities and organizations. Professor A. Sigov, academic of Russian Academy of Sciences, president of RTU MIREA, first vice president of AEER has opened the Conference, followed by a welcome speech by professor Yu. Pokholov, president of AEER. Professor L.X. Esteller, the coordinator of TEEDE project, has presented the general concept of dual education and the structure of the international project TEEDE (Towards Excellence in Engineering Curricula for Dual Education). The first part of the plenary session included presentations of TEEDE consortium members on the results and best practices of introducing dual education to the curriculum of consortium universities. The second part of the plenary session had been devoted to the issues of developing and introducing modern methods and tools for enhancement of the quality of engineering education through interacting and cooperating with various stakeholders of educational process. The closing part of the Conference was held in a format of open discussion, where representatives of various universities from several regions have actively participated in analyzing topical challenges on the way of dual education development in Russia and have proposed a number of recommendations for HEIs and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
