Association for Engineering Education of Russia continues the preparation for All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Approaches to Development of the National Doctrine of Engineering Education of Russia in the New Industrialization", 4-6 December 2012, Tomsk, Russia

The purpose of the Conference is to discuss objectives, tools and methods to improve technology and organisation of engineering education in Russia in the New Industrialization in line with the objectives set by V. Putin in his article "We need a new economy".

The two Expert Seminars were conducted in the preparation for the Conference:

• Expert Seminar "Strengthening the impact of engineering education on the innovation development of Russian regions" which was held jointly with the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia on June 16, 2012, in Novosibirsk.
• Expert Seminar "Development of the National Doctrine of Engineering Education of Russia in the New Industrialization", with MSTU MIREA as co-organiser, which was held on September 17, 2012, in Moscow.

The special issue of the Journal “Engineering Education” is in progress.
