First World Resource Efficiency Forum (Siberian Academic Week) to be held at National research Tomsk Polytechnic University on September 6-7, 2016

The World Resource Efficiency Forum is a platform for generating new ideas, approaches and solutions in resource-efficient technologies for modern life, economy and society.

The World Resource Efficiency Forum facilitates the following actions:

• communication and exchange of experience among specialists in the field of resource efficiency;
• promotion of high-tech projects and resource-efficient solutions;
• discussion of issues related to modernization of the world economy providing for resource-efficient technologies and the concept of sustainable development.

The World Resource Efficiency Forum is a key event in the framework of celebrating the 120th anniversary of Tomsk Polytechnic University.

The main activities of the Forum will be devoted to resource economy and resource efficiency and will be focused on six main areas for development of modern technologies and concepts.

Main areas of the Forum are:

• Challenges and opportunities in global nuclear medicine market;
• Networking cooperation. University 3.0;
• Innovation technologies for space exploration;
• Resource-efficient energy;
• Robotic solutions for industry and society;
• Hard-to-recover natural resources: oil and gas.
