Samara State Aerospace University (SSAU) and Beijing Institute of Space Engineering signed an agreement to establish a joint laboratory "Methods and tools for space research"

Russian and Chinese scientists plan to jointly carry out a survey and test a variety of materials and structural elements of the spacecraft, as well as scientific equipment for space exploration. Equipment to be used within the research will be both from the Aeronautical Engineering Institute (SSAU) and Beijing Institute.

The delegation from China also got acquainted with the achievements of the Aeronautical Engineering Institute (SSAU) and its laboratories. In addition, representatives of the universities discussed cooperation in the field of scientific instrumentation for space research. A contract for its production is expected to be signed in the near future. "China has a very ambitious space program, which is well- funded and supported by hard work of Chinese specialists. Therefore, the country is very interested in mutual cooperation, our fundamental knowledge about space and scientific equipment, "- emphasizes the director of the Aeronautical Engineering Institute (SSAU) Nilolay Siomkin.
