Tampere Higher Education Community welcomes you to take part in the conference, which unites scholars, policy makers and practitioners to discuss the future directions of innovation. The 2020 Triple Helix Conference is aimed to evoke both scholarly debates and best practice sharing on how innovation could create a desirable society in the future and how innovation should be understood and approached for achieving such a goal. The 2020 conference will promote dialogue among researchers, policy-makers and practitioners, who are involved in various aspects of innovation ecosystem for an example with the issues related to knowledge society, social innovation, technology transfer and innovation policy to name a few. While the Triple Helix will be a lens to examine various innovation practices and the future of innovation, we welcome those, who either challenge the Triple Helix model or promote alternative approaches of innovation studies. We are inviting you to submit your proposals for individual papers, poster presentations and panel discussions by December, 15 2019. Tracks of the Conference:
The concept of the Triple Helix of university-industry-government relationships initiated in the 1990s by Etzkowitz and Leydesdorff, analyzes the shift from a predominant industry-government dyad in Industrial Society to triadic relationships among university-industry-government in the Knowledge Society. The Triple Helix thesis is that the potential for innovation and economic development in a Knowledge Society resides in a more prominent role for the university in innovation and entrepreneurship and in the hybridisation of elements of institutional spheres and actors, generating new institutional and social formats for the production, transfer and utilization of knowledge. Further information and application guidelines available on websiteEarly bird tickets will be available on January, 15 April, 15, 2020. |
