News from partners18.05.2018 Young engineers, under 35 by 30 June 2018, are invited to submit an article on their ideas or projects that they are currently working on and which help to achieve sustainable development. The WFEO encourages young engineering leaders to submit papers and to present their ideas and perspectives on one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These goals take an integrated approach for future development, combining progress in economic prosperity, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. The implementation of these goals is a key objective of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations.
The presentation can either be based on a paper (preferably with graphics, schemes or photos illustrating the concept or project) up to 1000 words or an e-poster presentation (only to be made through pdf or ppt document). Recognition of best proposals The best submissions (up to 10) will be published in a booklet, which will be released during the Global Engineering Congress (GEC2018) in London on 22 October 2018. The author of the best proposal will be invited to present his/her ideas during the GEC2018 conference. Economy airfare and two nights' accomodation in London will be provided to enable attendance at this session, proudly sponsored by the Kuwait Society of Engineers All details about the GEC2018 conference can be found here Deadline for submitting a paper is 30 June 2018 to allow for adequate time to compile submitted works and format them for the booklet. Submissions are to be performed online only at web site PLEASE share widely with your networks of young scientists, engineers, and practitioners who may be interested in contributing to the UN SDGs. |
