The Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Quality Assurance in Engineering and Technology Education (IJQAETE) would like to invite you to consider submitting a manuscript for inclusion in this scholarly journal.
Description
The International Journal of Quality Assurance in Engineering and Technology Education (IJQAETE) is an international refereed journal focusing on best practices in the management of change and improvement in higher education. This journal adds value to the scholarly literature in engineering and technology education and also provides valuable resources for academics and experts to publish in engineering education journals worldwide. Advancing theory, research, and practices in the field, this journal provides a platform for the international exchange of scholarly and practical insights to improve quality assurance of engineering and technology education.
Mission
The mission of the International Journal of Quality Assurance in Engineering and Technology Education (IJQAETE) is to provide mechanisms for increasing technological literacy and enhancing economic development through increased knowledge. IJQAETE is aimed for all stakeholders in theory, practices, and policies in improving quality of engineering and technology education. This journal disseminates theories, practices, procedures, and methodologies in learning, teaching, and assessment. In addition to covering theoretical analyses of quality and quality initiatives, IJAQETE addresses quality engineering, quality technology, and their applications in business and industrial management.
Coverage
Topics to be discussed in this journal include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Accreditation of engineering and technology education
- Assessment practices which impacts quality of engineering and technology education
- Best practices and case studies/examples in quality assurance of engineering and technology education
- Competency-based engineering and technology education
- Evaluations, feedback, and surveys to improve quality of engineering and technology education
- Global mobility of engineering and technology professions and its impact on the quality of engineering and technology education
- Graduate attributes, competencies and skills in engineering and technology education
- Impact of internationalization/globalization on quality assurance of engineering and technology education
- Issues of international recognition of qualifications in engineering and technology education
- Issues of quality assurance in distance, flexible, and online engineering and technology education
- Industry-university or industry-institute interaction for the quality improvement in engineering and technology education
- Outcomes-based engineering and technology education
- Problem-based and project-based engineering and technology education
- Quality assurance aspects affecting engineering and technology education (e.g. student questionnaires, curriculum design, case studies, etc)
- Research findings and results which directly or indirectly impact quality assurance of engineering and technology education
- Theoretical analysis of quality and quality initiatives in engineering and technology education
- Theories, practices, procedures, and methodologies in learning/teaching and pedagogical aspects of engineering and technology education
In addition, there will be special issues on various themes (topics) in engineering and technology education quality assurance as and when required and agreed upon by editorial board.
Submission
Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished articles will be considered. Interested authors must consult the journal’s guidelines for manuscript submissions prior to submission. All article submissions will be forwarded to at least 3 members of the Editorial Review Board of the journal for double-blind, peer review. Final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers. All submissions must be forwarded electronically.
