On November 5-10, 2018 the audit of educational programs of Technological University of Pereira was held

During the period from 5 to 10 November 2018, an international team of experts of the Association for Engineering Education of Russia (Russia, Portugal, Ecuador, USA) conducted an audit of 7 educational programs of the Technological University of Pereira (UTP) (Pereira, Colombia) within the procedure of international professional accreditation with the assignment of the EUR-ACE® Label:

• «Industrial Engineering» (bachelor degree program);
• «Operational Research and Statistics» (master degree program);
• «Mechanical Engineering» (bachelor degree program);
• «Mechanical Engineering» (master degree program);
• «Electrical Engineering» (bachelor degree program);
• «Electrical Engineering» (master degree program);
• «Computer Systems Engineering» (master degree program).

It was the first experience in Colombia when the state technical university submitted its educational programs for the assessment in compliance with the criteria of the EUR-ACE accreditation system. The working languages during the audit were Spanish and English. The AEER experts noted the high level of preparation of the programs at the stage of self-examination and good organization of the on-site visit itself, as well as the good preparation of all necessary documents and reports, and high motivation of all participants from the university: management and academic staff, students and graduates.

The results of the audit will be presented for consideration by the Accreditation Board members at the nearest AEER Accreditation Board meeting in December 2018.
