On 30 May, 2013, the Association for Engineering Education of Russia signed the Cooperation Agreement with the Interbranch Industrial Association of Employers of Tomsk Oblast

The agreement is aimed at cooperation in the organization of professional and public accreditation of engineering educational programmes, programmes of specialists training in engineering and technology, and establishment of a system of professional engineers qualifications certification.

The agreement subject is the collaboration aimed at improving the quality of domestic engineering education and specialists training in engineering and technology for the Russian economy through improvement and development of national systems of professional and public accreditation of educational programmes and certification of professional qualifications of engineers and specialists in engineering and technology.

The agreement is a logical continuation of cooperation between the AEER and the IIA in which, for example, Alexander Chuchalin, Chairman of the Association Accreditation Board, participated in the meeting the Interbranch Industrial Association of Employers of Tomsk Oblast.
