Association for Engineering Education of Russia participated in the Parliamentarian hearings on the state policy in the field of training of engineering and technical personnel in the Russian Federation.

The hearings were organized by the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on February 21, 2013, in Moscow at Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. The AEER was represented by G. Vasilyeva, Executive Director, A. Sigov, Vice-President, RAS Academician, Rector of MIREA, Prof. Y. Pokholkov, President.

Prof. Pokholkov reported on “Expert Evaluation of the State of Engineering and Engineering Profession in Russia: Conclusions and Recommendations” presenting the results of 13 expert seminars held by the AEER in Russia and abroad in 2011-2012. The seminars were attended be more than 400 people from 63 technical universities and 42 industrial enterprises of 34 RF regions.

Members of the Council of the Federations, deputies of the State Duma, heads of federal ministries and agencies, legislative and executive authorities of the Russian Federation subjects, educational establishments, public organizations and employers' associations participated in the Parliamentarian hearings.
